Occupational Assessments

Sometimes, following an injury, a client may not be able to return to their pre-injury work type. In this instance, an Occupational Assessment is conducted to determine the client’s vocational rehabilitation needs. Suitable types of work are then identified that consider the client’s education, experience, pre-incapacity earnings and training. These work types should be realistic for the client to achieve and available in their local region. Once the client has completed their vocational rehabilitation a follow-up assessment is conducted to consider the individualised rehabilitation plan prepared with the client, review the vocational rehabilitation carried out and completed in the plan and to consider work types suitable for the client.
